This is a short sonnet i created for my English class. Now i know that its not officially a Sonnet because it is not 14 lines, its still a work in progress.
We played high stakes hold'em on grassy Knowles,
While tossing rooted soil into the blue,
We whistled a somber tune when the sun set,
All the while my white hair waited on you,
On one dark misty moist mahogany day,
swiftness of a swerve caught your full embrace,
That day on i packed the white pixies on my own,
i stuffed the straw slowly against my face,
Wet Mahogany red like that angst filled day,
Dripping against the vacuum above my lips,
Now in permanence hoping against your side,
i can lay....
